"A Simple Meal to Show God's Love"

When the pandemic hit, Richmond's Underground Kitchen (UGK) lost all their business in a matter of weeks. Executive Director Michael Sparks decided to use this as an opportunity to help others. UGK's Community First provides free homemade soups and breads to anyone in the metro Richmond area who needs it. The food is prepared by UGK’s vast network of chefs, with ingredients provided by their food purveyors. The meals are prepared at Roslyn Retreat Center, so the call went out to Episcopal Churches to help serve as volunteers. The CCE community answered the call! Hear volunteer Jane Emrick's story:

  1. MAIL: Complete the pledge card you received in the mail or print one here. Mail it to Christ Church Episcopal, 5000 Pouncey Tract Rd., Glen Allen, VA 23059
  2. CHURCH: Submit a pledge card and drop it in the blue box when you come to outdoor worship Sundays at 10 AM.
  3. ONLINE: In Realm, click Giving and then, Pledges. Contact Robin Pfeffer if you need support.
